Licensed medical providers on the platform may evaluate and, when appropriate, prescribe wellness-focused therapies that support areas such as vitamin and nutrient deficiencies, hormone balance, immune system support, athletic and physical performance, cognitive and brain health, antioxidant support, inflammation reduction, sleep quality improvement, healthy aging support, sexual wellness, and energy and metabolic support.

- Yes. TeleWellnessMD® complies with applicable privacy and security laws, including HIPAA, and maintains PCI compliance. Industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are used to protect patient information.
- Yes. All compounded prescription medications are prepared by LegitScript certified 503A compounding pharmacies located within the United States. 503A compounding pharmacies compound patient-specific prescriptions and are licensed and primarily overseen by state boards of pharmacy and must comply with applicable federal requirements.
- The cost of the consultation is included in the fee for the therapy.
- When you request a consultation, you will be asked to update relevant medical information, identify wellness goals or concerns, and request a consultation time window. Consultations are scheduled within a 30-minute timeframe. If you opt in to notifications, you will receive reminders when your provider is ready.
- Most wellness consultations are completed within approximately 15 minutes, depending on individual needs. Additional consultations may be scheduled at no additional cost.
- Prescription reviews are typically completed within 24 business hours during normal business hours.
- TeleWellnessMD® does not accept insurance. Some medical savings accounts (HSA, FSA, HRA, or MSA) may allow reimbursement. Patients should consult their plan administrator.
- TeleWellnessMD® currently provides telemedicine consultations in all 50 U.S. states, subject to provider licensure and applicable state laws.
- Prescription fulfillment generally occurs within 2–3 business days following approval. Orders are shipped Monday through Thursday. Cold-chain medications are shipped overnight when required. Tracking is available through your dashboard.
- Prescription medications cannot be returned once dispensed. If a medication arrives damaged or incorrect, contact customer service immediately and retain all packaging.
- Patients should follow FDA guidance for safe medication disposal by visiting the FDA’s official website.
- TeleWellnessMD® medical providers include licensed MDs, DOs, and ARNPs who are trained in wellness-focused care and licensed in the patient’s state.
- TeleWellnessMD® offers wellness-focused prescription compounds that may be prescribed through a telemedicine format. Providers prescribe only therapies available through TeleWellnessMD® partner pharmacies.
- For emergencies, call 911. For non-emergent questions, contact TeleWellnessMD® medical support through your dashboard.
- TeleWellnessMD® partners with preferred pharmacies. Some therapies are proprietary blends. Where permitted by law, patients may request prescription information for transfer.
- No. Each individual must create their own account and complete their own consultation.
- Most refills do not require a consultation. At least one semi-annual consultation is required to renew the subscription.
- Yes. Necessary supplies such as syringes, alcohol wipes, and bacteriostatic water are included when applicable.
- Yes. Prescription medications may be transported in accordance with applicable laws. Keep medications properly labeled.
- No. TeleWellnessMD® does not currently offer automatic refills. Refill reminders are provided.
