GHK-Copper is a tri peptide that can help with anti-aging, tissue renewing, wound healing, and more.
GHK- Cu is a human made tri peptide that stands for copper- binding tri- peptide gly-cyl-L- histidyl-L-lysine. This peptide was first discovered in the 1980’s and has since presented itself as a natural skin renewing, repairing and rejuvenating ingredient. Research studies show its role in anti-aging and tissue renewing properties as well as in its effect on skin remodeling and wound healing.
GHK-Cu is widely used as a cosmetic ingredient with confirmed anti-aging and preparative properties. It is naturally found in our skin especially after injury or stress as it is liberated from the skin’s proteins to promote healing and decrease inflammation.
GHK-Cu can increase the production of collagen, a key protein in skin. Research studies found that when applied in a cream to the skin it can increase collagen by 70% as well as decrease fine lines and wrinkles by 27%.
During research GHK-Cu was also found to have an effect on hair growth. Researchers found that hair follicles were doubled in size during treatment and GHK-Cu caused an increase of 80% of antigen hair follicles after 3 months of treatment.
